‘When I think of what happened in Orlando, I am devastated by the loss of life, by the loss of all the beautiful lives that were present, trying to be as authentic as they could be in a place where they were supposed to be safe…and by how that was violated by someone who felt threatened by their presence in society, which I think is absolutely ridiculous. People should be able to be authentic and they should be able to be themselves. As long as what you want isn’t hurting anyone, you should be able to be who you are, no matter what. I want the world to know that I am an ally and an advocate for anyone who is hurting on any platform and that I want to continue that advocacy for as long as I can.’
