‘Man, I’ve made my share of mistakes. People make mistakes all the time. Can we move on from them? Life’s too short to not move on, man. When I was a kid, there was a bully in my neighborhood. He didn’t just pick on me…he picked on all the littler kids. I won’t ever forget not being able to go home after school without getting beaten up. But you know what? The past doesn’t have to define you and you don’t have to define your life by what happened to you a long time ago. Today, that bully is one of my best friends. He reached out to me a few years ago and told me he was sorry for being such a bad kid. I’m big enough and strong enough to forgive him and that’s exactly what I did. Holding a grudge against anyone for anything is a canker in your soul. Don’t canker the soul…don’t let it rot your soul, man. Your soul is God’s gift to you.’97
